FLYN JACK
For as long as I can remember, I have always been close to the ocean. Growing up in the small village of Okiwi Bay, South Island NZ, fishing has always been prominent in my life.
From catching mullet and spotties off the Okiwi Bay wharf as a toddler, to now catching giant Kingfish and massive Snapper at D'Urville Island on board Double Trouble, the Nelson/Marlborough region has provided me all the opportunities to learn and grow as a fisherman.
I am very proud to be supported by a network of sponsors which allows me to live my dream of travelling the globe with a fishing rod in my hand.
NZ is my home base - from the bottom of the South Island to the Top of the North I have experienced world class fishing right here on my doorstep. Fishing also takes me across the globe from the desert climate of Oman to the volcanic wonderland of Kona Hawaii - I am always searching for the next adventure to GO BIG & BEYOND.

There are not many trailer boats in New Zealand that can say they have fished the length of the country. From Fiordland right through to North Cape and everywhere in between, Double Trouble has taken Flyn Jack to the fish across the nation. Double Trouble is a Huntsman Boats Centurion HT "Elite Angler", with a total length of 6.5 meters and a beam of 2.4 meters, this boat is incredibly capable and lives to tell tales of big fish and even bigger seas it has experienced on it's endeavors across New Zealand.
Double Trouble is one fully kitted boat, featuring all of the latest and greatest Simrad sonar, radar and navigational instruments, locating fish is done with ease as well as navigating safely. With a Honda Marine BF250 engine, it gets to the fish quickly, quietly, economically and reliably. Hella Marine Lighting can be found in just about every place imaginable onboard. This high-quality marine lighting is built to last and shows us what we need to see in the dark. Being a boat specifically built for fishing, Double Trouble features a set of Bonze Kraken outrigger bases and outrigger poles, the ultimate setup for gamefishing. Audio whilst on the water is provided by a substantial sound system from Fusion Marine Audio. Czone digital switching minimizes clutter and switches throughout the dash and boat.
